Help your teams get set up for remote working. This is now the new norm and we need to help organisations of all sizes move towards this new reality. There is working remotely and then there is working remotely effectively. Many people in 2020 have been forced to work from home and some have taken to it well
Do your teams struggle with remote working because its difficult to;
Damson Cloud has been a fully remote team for over a decade. When COVID 19 hit there was absolutely no impact to our business services as we were already fully working from home. We meet up as a team all the time and many of us use remote offices like WeWork but our default is remote working. We have designed the tools, processes and workflows to support our staff from any location and the flexibility to know who is doing what and where we are on projects generally without having to jump on a call to find out.
We have been helping our clients develop remote working strategies for many years and giving them the tools they need to support their own employees to productively work from remotely.
Are you wondering
We can help you and your teams navigate these areas and more. With helpful remote getting started videos and guides. From the common etiquette for video conferencing to best practices for remote working with teams we have been through it all over the last 10 years and are here to help your business get up to speed as quickly as possible.
Collaboration is at the heart of new work. Our old tools did not allow us to work collaboratively on documents or get on a video call with someone on the other side of the world. How we produce our work and how team work together evolved in a world where collaboration could only happen on a white board when we were all in the same room.
A new age has dawned, the age of collaboration. Every app, game and tool that is built now ensures that it can be accessed from any device at any time and teams can access the same information and work together seamlessly as if they were in the same room together. The tools and methodologies we use help teams break apart their old ways of working and move towards innovative more collaborative solutions for businesses. Employees will have improved work efficiencies and get things done faster.
New work can’t happen with just the tools and some training. We call this the technology and people. We also need to look at the process. On average someone has to do something 7 times before it becomes a habit. Humans are creatures of habit and it easy for us to go back to the old ways of doing things if we are not helped along in our journey to break apart old processes.
Along with our colleagues at Google we have developed a workshop for customers to help them get started with new ways of working. It is digital transformation done right, with real measurable results. We dub these workshops transformation labs as they look at your business processes under a microscope and ask the question of your teams is this the best way to do this?
It always astounds us how many people have never gotten to ask that question of processes and tools they use every single day in their jobs. Employees get very excited about having an input into this new work. They learn about how other companies have implemented solutions using G Suite and changed how they work forever. They begin to see how these tools can be used not just to do the work they are already doing but do it faster, more efficiently and enable you as a business to get an edge over your competitors. Customers who fully engage and embrace tools like G Suite say that they could not have grown their business so quickly without it.
When you look at many of the fastest growing and most successful innovative companies in the world they often have one thing in common they all embrace technology as a core investment that allows them to rapidly expand their businesses and they generally leverage G Suite to do it. We are not saying you can’t do it with a tool like Microsoft’s Office 365 but we are saying that when it comes down to it Google’s platform will get you there faster. In the collaboration space its like comparing the horse and cart to a car. The horse is going to be retired it just doesn’t know it yet.
